Day 10 (30/3/07)

Wet'n'Wild day! Jason was already having his holidays so he joined us :) He had this annual pass thingy and it allows him to enter the theme park for like unlimited number of times within one year! Omg if i live there i'll go like everyday i tell you. Cos their Wet'n'Wild's super nice! (Son J.L., 2007)

Woke up kinda early. Prepared, ate breakfast, and got ready to go! Jason's parents drove us there :D Didn't even style my hair. Like dUh~ We're goin' swimming! Hah. Reached there at around 11am. Found a locker, took of my top, applied a little sun block, showed off my new fake tattoo, and we're off to attack the waters! Lol. Oh talking about sun block, that was the first time i applied sun block. HAHA! Well, i just went for tanning two days ago and i didn't want to be sunburnt mah. GAH. (Son J.L., 2007)

Wet 'N' Wild!

First up, we went for that Calypso Beach thing. I remember calling it the lazy river or something. Well, it's this river thingy with a slow current. And all you have to do is just lie on a tube and relax or enjoy the sun while flowing with the current. We went for don't know how many rounds. (Son J.L., 2007)

Next up, we tried the White Water Mountain. It's like the normal water slides you have at most water theme parks. There were four slides but like only three were opened for that day. They're called cascade, bombora, ripcurl and pipeline i think. Queue was pretty long and we queued for quite awhile. Lucky the guard there was funny. Oh and he kept spraying water at us! -__-" Jason went on the bombora and pa and i went on the cascade. Eh, or was it the other way round? Haiyah heck. (Son J.L., 2007)

After the slide thingy, Jason wanted to go for the Super 8 Aqua Racer thingy. So we went. It was fun! :) There's like 8 lanes and as the name suggest, it's a race thing. Grab a float, wait for your turn, get ready, and when the light goes green, just push yourself and slide all the way down. And they actually have this display thingy that tells you which position you came in at! How cool. And i learnt one thing from that. The heavier you are, the faster you'll go. LOL. (Son J.L., 2007)

Next up was Twister. Damn fun la! And it's super fast! There's like this two tubes that twists around one another. Hmm.. Don't know how to explain it. Aiya i'll just show the picture lah. Pa and Jason went on it first, then jason accompanied me and went on it again. Hah. (Son J.L., 2007)

Hmm.. What else what else? Oh oh. We tried the Mammoth Falls too! It's this big family ride and they have those giant six-persons tube. But pa, jason and i got one tube for ourselves. Hah. Pretty fun. (Son J.L., 2007)

Played in the waves for awhile, then was feeling exhausted. So i went to the chairs there and suntanned while pa and jason continued playing in the waves. Lol. Ahhhhh i love the sun there!

Tried the Blackhole after that. It's like those slide thingy also but you need tube for that. And know why is it called the black hole? Cos you can't see a single thing inside! Lol. You won't even be able to anticipate the next twist or turn. Super fun. (Son J.L., 2007)

Oh. And there's where we met James. Made a new friend there. HAH. He's from sydney and doing his own business. Damn cool lor! He's like in his early twenties and he's doing his own business. Omg what am i doing here? Tsk tsk.. Anyhows, since james was alone, he went on other rides with us also. Lol.

Tornado was next. LOVE IT! It's like a two person per ride thing. Get on the tube, start by sliding into this tunnel, then there's this U-turn, then a sudden steep plunge down into this cone thing. After that, you go up and down, up and down. Omg so difficult to describe! Pictures pictures.(Son J.L., 2007)

After that, we ran all the way to the Speed Coaster. Lol. Cos it was close to 5pm and the theme park was closing. It was like running from one end of the theme park to the other end can. Damn tired =X While we were preparing for the ride, that person was telling us that we're lucky cos they're like going to shut off all the water in a few minutes time. Damn we were lucky :D

So.. We managed to try all the rides that were opened for that day :D There were one or two rides closed but aiya it's alright. Next time then. HAH. I wanna go again! .(Son J.L., 2007)

Went home after that. Slacked for awhile, played badminton, had dinner, then Linnett's parents brought us out for night shopping and supper :)(Son J.L., 2007)

It's really really fast, turns in two different directions, and the seat itself can turn 360degrees also de can. Damn fun!

After that was night shopping at Surfers :D Saw alot of interesting stuffs. And night shopping is nice! Especially when it's just beside the beach.(Son J.L., 2007)

Day 11 (31/3/07)

Linnett's parents brought us to the shark club for lunch :)

It was buffet style and food was good!

Oh yah. Linnett's mum went to order a cake for linnett. I think she had the voucher thing. Happy belated birthday linnett!

After that, jason and linnett had to go for some tuition thingy. Then linnett's parents brought us to the weekend market :)

After weekend market, was supposed to go home but pa and i decided to drop off at Surfers instead for a little last minute shopping. Lol. Second last day leh! So 舍不得. Lol. Went home by bus again after that. Had dinner, practised Still Waters, learnt alittle bit of guitar, and crazed around with linnett and jason again. Hah. Fun~ :D (Son J.L., 2007)

Last day in Gold Coast!!! AWWWWWWWW... I want to stay longer!! =X

After lunch, they brought us to the Hinze Dam. Too bad the water level for that day was kinda low. Otherwise we could've seen the waterfall :(

Sorta slept all the way for the flight this time. Didn't even bother to wake up for supper or something. Lol. Reached singapore at around 1plus am. Momo and daddy went to the airport to pick me up :D

Heard jason's coming back to singapore at the end of the year. Hopefully it'll be confirmed. Then i'll get to see him again! Hahah. And by that time, i'll most probably be botak. Oh drats.. He'll be laughing at me! Sheesh =/(Son J.L., 2007)

Day 7 (27/3/07)

Shopping day at pacific fair! Lol. As usual, shopping = forget camera.

Heard pacific fair's SO big that some people can't even finish it in a day. Come on! Pa and i finished it in like four hours? Are we shopping kings or what?

I'm soooooooo lazy. =X

Anyway, Day 7 was a shopping day at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.

We saw this shop, Choclicious House of Chocolate, in Pacific Fair and I find the shop's name VERY interesting.

Day 8 (28/3/07)

Suntan day @ Surfers oaradise beach! !!! I heart sun tanning eventhough its hard for me to get tan. Bleh~

=X Even after 2 hours, I'm still so fair whereas Son was already like.... Hmmm.. Nothing. Haa~ I think my skin is just natural fair. Come on. Girls, envy me bah. I don't need any whitening cream or whatsoever, I'm still fair. Bleh~ Actually I want to get tan! So after I see the big different between son's and mine. I was like wth la. Anyway, when I came back to singapore, mummy actually commented that I'm darker now and she went like "But you look ugly when you are tan" Where got!!??!?! =X

The lunch was at the crepe cafe again. Wahaha.. Dots.

Went home after that. Was kinda surprised that no adults were at home. Just linnett, jason and dixon. And guess what????? Jason cooked scrambled eggs for us that night!! Everyone helped. I also got help okay.. I helped to take pictures. HAH =X

Freaking cool lah. He's like in grade6 and he knows how to cook! I'm like 19 and i know how to burn the kitchen nia. Omg so throw face..

Day 9 (29/3/07)

Went brisbane on day9. Pa and i wanted to try the train there ourselves so yeah.. And the train journey takes like one hour from gold coast to brisbane lor! One hour! So omg la.

That day pa woke me up really really early.

Oh ya! From one cabin to the next, there are doors. Have to press the button to open them. Cool? So unlike singapore where people can stand between the "linkway" of one cabin and the next.

Didn't like brisbane at all =X

Cause it's so city like! Just like singapore. Everyone's wearing formal, and it's so fast paced. Got the orchard or shenton way feel. Don't like it one bit. I prefer gold coast. The pace there is so much slower. People there are much more friendly. Everyone can wear bermudas and slippers go out. And i like it. Yeps. (Adapted from son's blog)

We didn't shop for long at brisbane, only for about 1-1.5 hours. Then, decided to head back to westfield for a bit more shopping.

At the station, I saw this...

Singapore should implement the same law. HAha~

Oh! We had Cold rock ice cream on that day too. Haha.. Ice cream makes me a happy boy. =)

That night, linnett taught son that song called "still water." Then, son taught me. So.. I have to thank linnett and son! HAHA.

Why didn't my mum let me learn piano when I was young? Arrgghh. Eventhough, I picked up piano a year ago, its never the same as people who learn it from young. =X Sigh~ I admire people who can play piano very well.

Oh, we played badminton too.

Day 4 (24/3/07)

Alright. I shall continue with my update on the Aust trip.

Breakfast (Bacon + egg with iced milo) -Jason said my bacon was overcooked =X It's not!

A typical breakfast in Aust is shown above. =) I made this for son. (I'm nice right? Joking) Hahaa.. He will alway eat with a glass of iced milo (& Of course, I prepared the iced milo too). ^^ HAHA. He drank iced milo for breakfast every single day in Aust. I guess he love iced milo alot. =P

After breakfast, we were off to our first theme park, the warners bro. movie world!

As soon as we stepped into the theme park, we saw this:

My first reaction is "Oh my god!" I'm a timid person who is afriad of thrilling rides. Oh well, but alot better than MICK CHEN. He doesn't even dare to take any thrilling rides in genting theme park. =X

So err.. we went to find a locker, threw our stuffs in there, and i practically dragged pa to the queue for superman escape. Haha.

It was sooooooo fun! It's like a monorail at the start. Fast one, inside a building. Then when it's near the exit of the building, which is the part that goes almost vertically up, it stops for awhile, then suddenly launches forward and shoots all the way up. And the rest of the ride continues..

Alright. I admitted that I screamed. Anyway, I love screaming, felt so good after it. Theme park is the only place were I can officially scream. -_- LOL. I screamed so much that after each ride I thought it's nothing as scary as what I had imagined. =X

Anyhows.. Roamed about somemore, had hotdog bun for lunch. Wah the hotdogs there... SUPER long lah! LOL omg sounds so wrong -_______-

Oh we went for this shrek 4D thingy too. Caught the last show time :)

And we had to wear this 4D spec thingy.. Just like the 3D ones.

The show was alright. You know, you sit on this seat and the seat will move that kinda thingy? It's pretty interesting how they make you feel spiders at your feet and spray water at you when the characters sneeze. Then you'll start hearing people go "eeew". I was one of them. HAH.

Our last ride for the day- Wild west falls

Then. it was about time to go home.

At night, we were kinda bored so Clement decided to bring us all to timezone! Haha. Clement, Clement's girlfriend, Linnett, Jason, son and i went. Super fun lah!

Got this card for 15bucks. And it allows you to play unlimited games for the first hour on those normal machines. Then for second hour, you get to play bumper car, mini golf and "laser quest" thing. I call this a Arcade buffet. LOL. VERY FUN. =D

Linett and I were riding those horses. Trust me! Riding on horses is Damn tiring. It made mt butt damn pain. =X

Day 5 (25/3/07)

We (Clement, his gf, Linett, Jason, Son & me) went to dream world together. And Of course, Clement was the one driving us there.

The Giant dop is actually twice the height of the one at genting theme park. =X 120m tall! Anyway, nobody dares to play except son. Son doesn't want to play because no one dare to "pei" him. Wow. I think he was damn disappointed. A part of me really want to get onto the ride with son but another part of me was afraid I might just die halfway in the ride especially when I have slight heart murmur. =X Hmmm.. In the end, I still didn't try. Sad~

After shopping, we headed home for dinner. Home sweet home~~ It was boring after dinner. Thus, decided to play with poker cards. Son showed us many poker cards tricks. I was so impressed by him. Anyway, we figured how some tricks worked at the end. They also build things with poker cards.

It's time to blog about my Aussie Trip! ^^v

(Agree with Son) Gold Coast is SUPER FUN! FUN!

I'm missing the days in Aust so much. The 12 days in Australia were one of the few most memorable events in my life. I want to go back to Aust !

[The Aust trip's entries will be divided into three parts and each part will consist of events in three days. =D]

Aust trip ( 21/3/2007-1/4/2007)

Day 1 (20/3/07-21/3/07)

Finally, I got the chance to take aeroplane again. I was freaking ecstatic. The last time I took an aeroplane was like 10 years ago. =X Very very long ago. That year, I was only in my primary 4. Hmmm. 10 Years old? I went to China, Beijing and Thailand. If I didn't remember wrongly, I took Singapore Airlines to China and Korean Air to Thailand. I think I took Thai Airway from Chang Mai to BangKok. From young, I just simply love passenger aeroplanes (not those fighter planes =X). That explains why I love to go to Changi Airport to see aeroplanes at the viewing hall either when I'm super down or super happy. =D So, you guys can imagine how happy I was when I had the opportunity to take an aeroplane! Anyway, thats besides the point.

Aunt Ivy & uncle came to pick son and I up at 6.30pm on 20/3. Did I mention that i was taking a night flight? Yup. Our flight was 9.05pm and we were supposed to reach Changi Airport like 2 hours earlier. I must compliement uncle that he knows our singapore road so well and he can even predict the time needed from my house to airport. We reached airport on dot, 7.05pm. =D

This time I took Emirates Airlines. This airline has its base at Dubai, some middle east country. I took the aeroplane, model Boeing 777-300. This model is one of the larger aeroplanes. I want to take A380 aeroplane, the largest passenger aeroplane in the world. It's a double decker aeroplane. =D Maybe someday...

If you guys know me well, you will know I like to take window sit. However, son has this liking too. Hahah.. Being nice, I let him take the window seat.

The screen will actually show the temperature outside the aeroplane, the height which aeroplane was and the distance to destination. Look at the temperature, is -8 degree! =X The temperature went down to -43 degree when it was at the very top. -___-
I wondered how it felt like being at outside the aeroplane.

Anyhows, I am so looking forward to the dinner at the aeroplane. Don't ask me why. I just like aeroplane food, in general. I like their food presentation. ^^v

Did I mention there was this singaporean air-stewardess who is super nice. As I like plane model alot, I asked her whether she has one. She was like saying " We don't have one at this flight, you give me a minute ah." Then, she returned with a big bag of freebies for us. "There you go, I got you guys whatever I can give you", she said. That was super nice of her. I was certainly touched by her and her services. Excellent. =D

What touched me more was the effort she took to get everything in pairs so that son and I can get one of each. Sweet~ Then, She brought out this polariod camera and took a picture of us and gave this to us...

Reached Australia, Brisbane International Airport at 8am (Australia time) -In case, you guys didn't know, Australia time is 2 hours ahead of us. This means 8am in Aust = 6am in Sing. When we came out of the Airport, Big aunt and Clement were already there waiting for us. I heard that Aunt and Clement specially take a day off from work and school just for our arrival. I'm touched. Aunt brought us to their Chinatown and had Mac breakfast there. Their Harshbrown tastes weird. =X

After breakfast, I was asking Clement to bring me to their farm. Haha... As an Urban kid, visiting farms is rare for me. So, yeah. In the end... We ended up here =)

We ended up feeding sheeps, goats and PIG? LOL

After that, I suggested to go home to put luggages and rest a while because I was so damn tired. Didn't sleep in the plane. =X

It's freaking BIG! Even their bathrooms (especially their master bathroom)is about the size of our room in Singapore. DOTS. =P

Rested a while. The, Aunt drove us to WestField to shop.
We saw puppies there.... =) I love DOGS/PUPPIES. SO CUTE!

Oh, In Australia, their shops close very early, at about 4-5pm. At about 4pm, while waiting for my aunt to come and fetch us home, we went to Cold Rock to have Ice-cream- Yummy!

As usual, took some pics at there. I realised I never really look nice in pictures. =X (Like what sis alway say, ugly people sure look ugly in pictures too)

I shall award my Aunt with the best culinary award. =)She sure knows how to cook. For the whole trip, I tasted all her yummy food. Laska, Fishball noodle, Cakes, Prawn Noodle, Carrot Cake etc... (Let me think, I guess there thats all for that day-we slept pretty early that night because we were so damn tired.)

Day 2 (22/3/07)

Went to Australia Fair shopping centre!

That was the shop named Cardiology- Not a shop for heart. =X Instead, a shop which sells cards? Interesting name, isn't it. When I first saw it, my reaction was OH MY GOD. So interesting. Reminded me of what my friend said- If you are heart broken, you need a cardiologist. Lame -___-

Lunch, I had fish & chips and Son had lasagne

Their chips (fries) seem like Free of Charge- They give alot of it! Believe it or not- We never finish the chips in Aust before or maybe once for me.

OH. There was this sale girl. Pretty and Cute. =) After buying stuff from that particular shop, I was telling son that I feel like taking picture with that girl. AND, we wactually went back to look for that girl. Unfortunately, she wasn't around as she was taking her 5 mins break. We waited for her to return. Yeah. It was funny.

I MISS playing playground. Call me childish, I don't care!

After that we took the bus back home. It was our first time taking the bus and like we were so afraid that we'd miss our stop, we actually asked the bus driver to let us know when we've reached our stop. The bus driver was kinda friendly. Aiya, the people there are friendly. Yeps. (Okay, I'm so so lazy to type this Para- Adapted from Son's blog =X)

Shopping with son is fun because he gives valuable opinion and we are both vainy. =X LOL Unlike some guy friends- Tell me the stuff I bought is ugly after I bought it. SO DOTS.

Day 3 (23/3/07)

We woke Clement up freaking early to drive us to warehouse sales - Billabong, Roxy, Ripcurl warehouses!

I didn't spend alot as compared to son. Spent $100 aussie.

After that, we had to take a bus to Surfers Paradise ourselves because Clement was nearly late for school.

Surfers Paradise! We actually went to this place for 4-5 times during our 12 days in Aust. =P

Had our dinner at Pizza-hut. A pizza buffet! Cool right? LOL

Wow. Finally, I finished the 3 days entry of Aust trip. =X You know what? My piano has a name now -Pianino ^^

Pianino is my best friend. He shares my pain, my sorrow and my happiness. He consoles me when I'm down and share the joy with me when I'm happy. I love this best friend of mine. =) He rocks. ^^v

This is the last part of the genting trip. (I apologise for this very late posting!>

1/3/2007 (Thur)

So fast! It was the last day of our genting trip. We had our dim sum breakfast at a halal chinese restaurant located near the casino at genting. Wahahaha.. The restautant is so near the casino that I alway walk to the wrong way to the casino.So dots. =X Dim sum rocks! I simply love dim sum. They made my day. I agree that a good breakfast can brighten up a person's day. =D Oh well, at least it brightened up my day?

After our breakfast, as usual, we started taking pictures again. By then, we left with about two hours before the departure of the bus from Genting back to Singapore. With two hours, we started doing some last minute shopping! I remembered we shopped until we nearly missed our bus. We had to rush to the bus like "amazing race." Hahaha... It was quite fun though. ^^

The whole bus trip back to Singapore took us another seven hours with few stopover during the journey. We reached Singapore at about 9pm on the same day and then we had our late dinner at Boon Lay Food centre. All of us ate the Famous Boon Lay Nasi Lemak for dinner. After dinner, it marked the end of our Genting trip 2007. This trip was really fun and enjoyable. =D

28/2/07 (wed)

Our most important meal of the day was settled at Coffee Terrace for their Breakfast Buffet. Yummy! ^^ (pictures coming up) After the satisfactory breakfast, we headed back to the hotel room. We started packing our belonging as we were moving to Resort Hotel. The hotel room in Resort Hotel was two times bigger than the one at First World hotel, with two queen-size beds.

Anyway, after a short rest, we headed to the outdoor theme park!-The highlight of the day =D
Guess what?!?! I can't believe I took most of the rides, which includes those thrill rides which I've never have the guts to try previously when I came with my family. I must admit I screamed and shouted like "crazy"when I took those thrill rides like Space Shot and Corkscrew. Dotss... Well, BUT it was really fun shouting and screaming. Scream and shout out all your unhappiness. Great~ ^^v Actually, I shouted so much till I didn't feel the thrill of each ride at the end. Okay. That's kind of DOTS. -_-" Oh well, I enjoyed it alot though.

During the first rapid descent, I can't even shout or scream because it happened too fast for me to react. I only started shouting during the second rapid descent. =X

After the theme park rides, it was about dinner time. Hence, we decided to look for dining place. Initially, we thought of going to a restaurant to eat dim sum. I know it was kind of weird to eat dim sum for dinner. But, who cares? One of the waiters (Yang-yang like -> In Hanakimi) told us that the restaurant will only be opened at 6pm and dim sum will still be available at dinner time. So we waited until 6pm for it. Shitty. Guess what?!!?! Only after we had our seats in the restaurant, we realised that dim sum was not available. Oh my goodness. Thanks to that yang yang lah. So damn pai seh. We have to walk out of the restaurant without ordering anything. Dots.

In the end, we ended up eating japanese food which was kind of a good alternative to dim sum. =D Actually, that day was kind of a suay day. All four of us encountered some suay incidents. Nevertheless, we enjoyed it alot. =D

1) Zak lost her bracelet
2) Su's shoes were torn during one of the rides
3) A bug was found in Chris's jap food
4) I lost Zak's ring (I was super guilty about it man-Sigh)

After dinner was shopping time again! Shop for gifts for friends and family. ^^v
I slept quite early that night because of the lack of sleep for the past nights. In additions, I was down with a runny nose. Okay lah. I am lousy. =X The temperature there was 14 degree that night. Super cold. I cannot go out of my hotel room without my favourite sweater man.

27/2/07 (Tue)

After 7 hours of long journey, we finally arrived at Genting Highland at about 2pm! Wootssssss!

Yay!! The first thing we did after the arrival was to check in to First World Hotel. The room was quite a small and pathetic one. There were only two single-size beds to accomodate four of us. Well, well, well. Its okay though since we will have another better hotel to stay in on the 28/2/07.

After hotel check-in, we went searching for food. Our lunch...

GENTING - CITY OF ENTERTAINMENT

DOTS- Wahahaa.. Sounds like some advertisement. Anyway.. Don is back in singapore!! Yup. I'm back from genting yesterday. I had lots of fun. Thanks peeps. ^^v For the rest of my entry, I'll fill you guys with pics and pics of my genting trip. =D BUT, not forgetting some description for each pic. ^^

(26/2/07)-Monday
The fun started even before our trip. ^^ As we had to reach the departure point at 7am the next day (which means have to wake up at 4.30am), Su and I decided to stay at Zak's house for the night before the departure day. After we had our dinner at Zak's house, we spent our time watching Hanakimi. Hahaa... Nice show man! Love this taiwan Drama lots. After the show, guess what we played? UNO! Wahaha..

Dotss.... Zak is showing us all her cards on cam without knowing. Wahaha.. =X

After card game was supper time! Zak's mummy bought some traditional malay food for us. Nice lah! Haha... Literally translated in english, the dish is call "soup bone" Hahaa.. Its actually mutton lah.

Alright. All of us then decided NOT TO SLEEP for that night. In the end, that Ku Ku Zak actually fell asleep. Ku Ku lah! Wahhaaa.. Su was stuck with her front episodes of Hanakimi which I have already watched it. So, I decided to use Zak's com to go online. Chatted with Sis and son. Sometimes, they just made me feel really glad to have them as friends. Don't ask me why, just feel this way. =D

(27/2/07)-Tuesday

Everyone started changing clothes and getting themselves ready at 4.30am. Suay! I dropped my contact lenses on the floor. We had our morning breakfast at Mac. Oh man, you can imagine how happy I was when I got to eat mac breakfast! Simply rockz!

Reached the departure point 45 mintues earlier. Ok. My fault! =X I rush them Wahhaa..
OhOh . I must mention about the coach we took to genting. It's super duper high class. Excutive class. I love that coach as it's super comfortable. =D This coach has only 16 seats. So, you guys can imagine how spacious the seat is. There is a personal LCD TV at each seat. In additon, the seat is a massage chair. We can play games and watch movies on the LCD TV too! Cool, isn't it?
As this coach is a double decker bus, all the 16-seats are on the top deck and the bottom deck is a video room with sofa and small pillow for us to relax. =D
